Galvin at Windows

I can’t believe I have never been here before. Galvin at Windows is located on the 28th floor of the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, which offers amazing views of London, so atmosphere is great, and it is interesting to see Hyde Park from this angle, which I have never done before. There are 7 restaurants owned by the Galvin brothers, which all serve French food and 2 of them, including Galvin at Windows (the other one is Galvin La Chapelle) have a Michelin star. When I went to Galvin at Windows with my friend David the service was great, the waiter was extremely attentive and nice to us. The food was nice but I can’t say it was the best food I have had. As a starter I had scallops (see picture), which were, super nice and very nicely presented, but the main course of hake with clams (see picture) despite looking super beautifully decorated once again was a tiny bit tasteless which meant I did not finish the whole thing. Desert was delicious again though, banana souffle was delicious, the chocolate crème brule superb and the marshmallows they gave me were the best I have ever had. The whole room was extremely pleasant as well, the dim lights created a wonderful atmosphere, and this is definitely a great place to take someone if you want to impress them.
