Burger and Lobster is a very exciting place in Mayfair (and now they also have branches in Soho and Clerkenwell), where there are only 3 things on the menu (all costing £20 and all served with fries and salad): burger, lobster and lobster roll. Most people around me were having lobster, as it does seem like more value for money … between 2 we shared a lobster and a burger, so I had to try both. The burger was amazing, def one of the best I have tried, and they gave you a LOT OF lobster (which was delicius served with a butter souce that could be with or without garlic). Great quality food and nice atmosphere, def worth a visit, especially for the HUGE delicious lobster (the only downside is you can't book and need to show up and wait for a table in case it is busy, and on Monday at 6.30 it was crazy busy)

Mishkin's is a recently opened "Jewish deli" in Covent Garden owned by the same people who own Polpo, Spuntino etc, and according to their website the dishes they serve are based very loosely on the sort of Jewish comfort food we all love eating. The food we ordered was nice (although I totally ordered the wrong things on the menu, and have been regretting it ever since and want to go back) - you go to this place to eat their cool hot dog or the salt beef + gherkin sandwich (I saw my neighbours eating both and they looked amazing). I ordered cod cheeks (this is like prawn popcorn from Nobu), meatballs, duck hash (with egg) and side dishes and all the food is very interesting (when you first look at the menu you can be slightly confused as I was about the different combinations they offer).

The Dower House Restaurant is located in the Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath and my boyfriend and I were staying there for 1 night. During the evening we were feeling hungry and we wanted to go and eat in the Dower House restaurant but as we did not have a reservation they told us we had to wait for 1h for a table. I did not really want to do this and I started begging them and saying this was my 1st time in Bath and I was not from UK and after all this they gave us a table instantly (shows what persuasion can do!!!). I really liked the quails eggs with little toasted bread and mayonnaise they gave you at the beginning and thought it was great. We did not want to have any starters as we were feeling quite full, so we just ordered main courses. I ordered a skate which was nicely presented and was ok, although seemed a bit undercooked. My boyfriend ordered a pigeon which was also very pink. Overall it was good food just a tiny bit boring and predictable.

This was an amazing discovery in Amsterdam. This restaurant is located in one of the office buildings, so when I walked in, I did not expect that much, but the food was incredible. Extremely beautifuly arranged, all the starters and chef's welcome canapes were extremely nicely placed and the presentation was super well thought through… I had lobster starter (veru nice) and steak (also very good) with 4 different vegetable sauces and the fries where some of the best I have ever had. See a picture of the fish (also amazingly decorated).
