Wildflower Café is owned and run by my beautiful and amazing friend Leila with whom I went to school, so I was always going to like this place, but after the meal I ended up loving this place, not just liking it.  Wildflower Café is a breakfast, brunch, lunch and supper restaurant in Notting Hill, on Chepstow road. The outside of the restaurant is bright violet and in its cheerfulness stands out. The inside of the place is equally cheerful with different beautiful exotic flowers skillfully placed in pots and located on every table. They don’t have typical flowers, but interesting, colourful ones that are so nicely arranged.

Sunset Grill & Bar

Sunset Grill & Bar is one of the upscale restaurants in Istanbul that is located on a hill and overlooks the Bosphorus strait, Bosphorus Bridge and Asian shoreline from above. I have been here twice and the first time I came here was during the summer when it was really warm and you could sit outside, and then it was amazing. This time I came to Istanbul and Sunset Grill & Bar during the winter months and we sat inside and whilst the view is still amazing the feeling of sitting outside in the hot weather is not there.

Greenberry Café is a small and lively restaurant in Primrose Hill (where the Russian restaurant Troika used to be) where you can get breakfast (from a special breakfast menu), lunch and dinner. From the outside it looks very welcoming, in a light green pleasant colour and when I went there with my engaged friends Katrina and Love at 11.45 the place was buzzing and full and we were shown to one of the last remaining empty tables. The décor is plain but welcoming, with wood tables and chairs.

One Canada Square

One Canada Square is a new European/ International food restaurant in Canary Wharf Canada Square in the iconic Canary Wharf building with the flashing light at the top that you see flashing when you fly over London. It was set up by Tom and Ed Martin (ETM Group) who are also behind the very famous The Botanist restaurant on Sloane Square (as well as some other gastropubs around London like The Well, The Jugged Hare, The Cadogan Arms). One Canada Square has a 30-cover bar and 100-cover restaurant (as well as a mezzanine level where my friend Anda had her team drinks recently) and it is open from 7am for breakfast and also serves lunch, dinner and post work cocktails. The interior sort of reminded me of Goodmans. There are leather chairs and that sort of a city vibe and there are beautiful paintings in sort of “autumn colours” on the walls. The interior was done by David Collins Studio which has designed the interior inspired by the 1920a.

Essence
10th Street Beach Rotana Hotel

I was visiting Abu Dhabi for a day and my friend Ahmed suggested we go to hotel Rotana for lunch. He said he always goes there for lunch when in Abu Dhabi and they do a very good buffet lunch. Rotana hotel is very nice and luxurious and situated in the middle of Abu Dhabi. There are many restaurants in Rotana hotel, but the one we chose – Essence – is perfect for lunchtime, as they do a luxurious buffet serving international dishes from around the world.

The dining room is beautiful with high ceilings that have Arabesque decorations and the restaurant’s decor combines Arabic and modern décor. On one side of the room you can find various cooking stations which include an indoor bakery, a Tandoor oven, Mediterranean meat and stations on which sushi and salads are placed. On the other side of the room, there are tables, but you can also sit and eat outside overlooking the man-made water source of Abu Dhabi, which is what we did..

You & Me Bar is a restaurant in the centre of Warsaw. Ed and I were visiting Warsaw and fancied some food and our driver dropped us off on Żurawia street that had many restaurants and he told us we could chose to have lunch in the one we liked the look of the most and we chose the You & Me Bar, as it had the most European food and it seemed quite casual and nice.

I had read a lot of articles about how good Shrimpy’s is and about their famous soft shell crab burger, so I had been wanting to go there for a while and when it was time for me to catch up with my friend David, I selected this restaurant for our dinner.

Hotel Des Indes

Hotel des Indes is one of the best if not the best hotel in the Hague in Netherlands and I was staying there for 1 night. I was feeling quite hungry and did not have any dinner plans so I thought I would go to the lobby and try their food and have a nice romantic dinner for 1. The lounge and the ground floor bar at Hotel des Indes are beautiful, with red chairs, wooden furniture, high ceilings and flowers, and it feels trendy and expensive at the same time, and if you are looking for a place to have a drink in the Hague, I would really recommend this.

I needed a break from sailing so I persuaded my boyfriend to go to the Scrub Island Beach Resort on Scrub Island to stay for a night, which is a lovely 5 star resort. There are two places where you can eat in the resort the more casual, by the pool restaurant Tierra! Tierra! as well as the more upscale restaurant Caravela. We went to Tierra! Tierra! for lunch.
