Ognisko is a Central and Eastern European restaurant (mainly focusing on Polish food) located in South Kensington (on Exhibition road). I went to Ognisko for dinner on a Saturday evening as my friend Nika had booked this for us and as I like eastern European food and have not yet found a good place in London where to get it.

You & Me Bar is a restaurant in the centre of Warsaw. Ed and I were visiting Warsaw and fancied some food and our driver dropped us off on Żurawia street that had many restaurants and he told us we could chose to have lunch in the one we liked the look of the most and we chose the You & Me Bar, as it had the most European food and it seemed quite casual and nice.

I was in Poland and wanted to go for a nice dinner. My wonderful Polish colleague Jarek suggested I go to Belvedere restaurant for dinner. At first I thought the name Belvedere was something to do with the vodka brand Belvedere, but oh no! I was so wrong! Belvedere is a presidential castle in Poland and the vodka and this restaurant (which is located next to it) are both named after it, as I was later told.

Restauracja Polska Rozana

Rozana is the number 1 ranked restaurant in Poland on Trip Advisor website, and I think this is because it serves delicious and presentable Polish food that Poles themselves can enjoy when they want to have traditional food in a more upscale way and also this is a perfect place to take foreigners to as they will be able to try Polish typical food in a pleasant and traditional Polish environment.

I remember going to Baltic restaurant a few years ago thinking they were going to be serving Baltic (as in Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian) food, but the name is slightly misleading as they seem to serve mainly Polish food with a slight hint of Scandinavian food, and also some Russian dishes (the link here seems to be countries around the Baltic sea apart from the Baltic states). The best thing about this place is the amazingly huge vodka selection especially from Poland, here you can get all brands and all flavour vodkas (I had a delicious strawberry vodka shot).
